MASSA D’OR PRODUCCIONS is pleased to announce that BLACK BREAD is one of the 3 films nominated for Best Iberoamerican Film at the 54th edition of the ARIEL AWARDS 2012 of the Mexican Academy of the Cinematographic Arts and Sciences A.C.

BLACK BREAD, by Agustí Villargonga has been both nationally and internationally recognised. In Spain it became the record film, being the third most awarded fil of Goya’’s history, with 9 awards, and being the first Catalan film in winning it at the category of Best Film.

The film also won 13 Gaudí Awards,  the Fotogramas de Plata, and the Turia Awards and the San Jordi de Cinematografia. Likewise, in the international scope, BLACK BREAD was the chosen film by the Académia Española to represent Spain at the Oscars. The film has participated at the San Sebastián Festival where Nora Navas won the Concha de Plata for the Best Interpretation, Palm Springs, the Spanish Cinema Now (Los Angeles, Miami and New York) and Japan, among others.
