Betrayals and revenge
Mallorca 1947. Manuel Tur and Andreu Ramallo are two teenagers suffering from tuberculosis who after experiencing the harshness of the Spanish Civil War in their childhood, meet in a sanatorium. Friendship is reborn between them. Manuel faces death by taking refuge in religion and exaggerated mysticism while Ramallo, full of life, wants to leave. Don Eugeni, the village pharmacist also wants to leave, and maintains him because he helps him in his contraband business and especially in exchange for sexual favours.
Ramallo decides to steal a batch of medicines from the sanatorium in order to sell them and escape from the island. Manuel, attracted by Ramallo, helps him. Little by little, the religious position of Manuel enters into crisis when he realises that what he feels for Ramallo is more than just friendship. Betrayals and revenge lead to a tragic end.
